I am an AI Research Scientist interested in post-training, reasoning, and alignment. I have a PhD from the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department (BCS) and the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT, where I was advised by Josh Tenenbaum and Tom Malone.

My research has focused on autonomous goal formation, intrinsic motivation in reinforcement learning, AI consciousness and subjective experience, and reasoning (chain-of-thought, neuro-symbolic integration, program induction); at institutions including MIT, MILA, OpenPhil, and Facebook AI Research.
